The R5,000 setup versus the pile of files you’d assemble yourself

TPThe Prime Silver teamPrime Silver Solutions

You can set a business up yourself for almost nothing now. A logo from a marketplace. A template website. A number from a VOIP provider. Social accounts in an afternoon. None of that is a scam and none of it is bad value.

The problem is what you are left holding at the end of it.

What the DIY route actually produces

A logo file in a format your printer cannot use. A website you can no longer edit because the person who built it used their own account. A business number that rings on a phone nobody carries. Four logins, three of them in someone’s personal email.

Every piece works. Nothing connects. And the part you actually needed — being properly registered, with tax in order and the right accounts separated — is still sitting on the list.

What one working setup means

It means the registration is done and the numbers that come with it are recorded somewhere you can find them. It means the website, the hosting, the business line and the social accounts are all in the business’s name, not yours. It means when you need to hand any of it to someone else, you can.

That last one is the whole point. A setup only you can operate is not a setup. It is a second job.

The guided option, from R5,000

You work through it yourself at your own pace on a platform built for it. It takes you through registration, tax and compliance in order, and warns you in plain language before a decision that could cost you. We set up your website, hosting and business line with you.

What it is not: someone doing it for you. You still do the work. The platform makes sure you do it in the right order and do not miss the thing that is expensive to fix later.

When done-for-you is the better call

If your time is already worth more selling than setting up, pay for the hands-on version and spend the hours you save on customers. If you are pre-revenue and time-rich, guided is almost certainly the right door.

Either way you can move between them. Starting guided does not lock you out of asking us to take it over.

The short version

The cheap route is not wrong, it is just unfinished. What you are paying for is the order things happen in, and a setup that works without you holding it together.
